My husband and I visited New Orleans in April 2018 for our 32-year anniversary. We were really excited to see and hear all about the amazing city, so were really looking forward to the tour. We were told we would be picked up at our hotel at 1:45, but our guide didn't arrive until almost 2:20, so we were just standing on the street waiting that whole time (though they told us that if we weren't out there, we would miss them.) Then when he did arrive, he was driving a traditional 15-passenger van with short, tinted windows. The van was difficult to get into and the windows were short and tinted so you couldn't see very well. To make matters worse, our driver had a heavy southern accent/drawl, talked quickly, and his microphone was either turned down or not working, so we didn't hear/understand about 1/3 of what he said. The air conditioner was blowing full blast, so most people had the vents covered, which made a loud noise that also contributed to our not being able to hear. Finally, my husband asked the driver if he could please turn up his microphone and turn off the air conditioning, which he did, so we could hear a little better The tour seemed to be comprehensive, and the driver seemed like he probably knew a lot of information, but because of the poor visibility and inability to hear well, we missed a lot of it. My daughter-in-law did the hop-on-hop-off city tour a few months before we were there and said that was really good. I wish now we had done that one, which was also $10 per person cheaper. We paid $98 for both of us and felt really ripped of. Very disappointing! If we ever go back, we will for sure do the hop-on-hop-off tour so we can actually SEE the city.

Hey Mrs. Bev,
We are truly sorry you felt you didn’t get your money’s worth taking our tour on your 32nd anniversary.
Hop-on-Hop-Off is great. Some people prefer to take Hop-on-Hop-Off with 25 - 50 other people. Others like walking tours. Some like to take a bicycle tour or a Segway tour. There’s a tour for everyone to enjoy here in New Orleans. Of course, everyone will not be happy on a 15 passenger van. Most people are. Anywhere and everywhere we advertise we never claim to operate anything other than a van for our tour. Every tour in New Orleans has it’s negatives as well as it’s positives . We are able to give a perfect overview of New Orleans by using a smaller 15 passenger vehicle since we are able to cover 30 miles of our city with the ability to drive all throughout our amazing neighborhoods. Where all larger vehicle tour companies do not have this luxury. So we are able to show you miles more of true New Orleans. On top of that our smaller vehicles with much smaller groups allow us to pick you up right in front of your hotel. Smaller groups also provides for a semi-private personalized tour. You can actually interact with your Driver/Guide as well as everyone else on the tour.
We believe in our tour and we’re proud of our price.
Truly New Orleans,
Ozzy Laporte, Jr.
