I was very impressed with the nyc tour, particularly because it was the middle of winter and only my friend and husband and I were booked on. Instead of cancelling the tour they gave us a one on one personalised trip - we were even able to stop off for pizza at the famous Juliana pizza parlour!
The best part of this tour is the cruise. You get a close view of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. You drive through SOHO, past Chinatown, TriBeCa and walk the magnificent High Line Park. It is a great overview for first time visitors to get their bearings and decide where they would like to further explore.
Worth the Money! Really detailed tour of the Chelsea Market and the Grand Central Station. We also touched down on the High Line Park and the Washington State Park which we would have failed to cover if we were touring on our own. Our tour guide J-Allen was one of the best that I have come across and has a great sense of humor making time fly. He had great knowledge about the city and did a great job describing and showing us different neighborhoods like ChinaTown and Little Italy from the bus.
Drawbacks:
Tour is a bit hectic and we just touch down in most places as there is so much to cover in a short time
The cruise is not much a cruise but a water taxi rise under the bridges going a bit close to Lady Liberty to see night-lights. The champagne the say in the tour description is a small cup of a drink in reality but given the cost effectiveness, that is probably the best you would get for the money. So don't expect much there.
