You will be inundated by dozens of TopView representatives when you arrive in NYC. It sounds good and it really should be good but be advised that their service is SLOW. I’ve waited over an hour at one of their stops before a bus arrived. I’ve had buses arrive that only had room for a few passengers, leaving many waiting and waiting. And while I’ve waited I’ve seen buses from other Hop-on, Hop-off lines go buy. (When I waited over an hour there were five Gray Line buses that stopped to pick up their customers). So if you are planning on spending weeks in New York and don’t mind wasting your time then TopView May be for you. Otherwise avoid them like the plague!

Not enough buses. Often full so you have to wait in long lineups to get in. Traffic makes buses stand still. Waste of a day just waiting to get to the various location. However, Liberty cruise was good, nighttime bus tour was impressive and cycling though Central Park was absolutely fabulous. Would not do it again though...

We were bombarded on arrival at Times Square to buy tickets. They tried to get us to buy the whole package( boat trip, night time, uptown, downtown) we had limited time so only wanted the uptown and downtown routes, but looking at the price we paid didn’t seem any different from the full package! We were on top deck for downtown tour, it was a hot day and we spent a lot of time (10 mins in one case) sitting at stops so perhaps not the best choice of seating. The narrative was very poor and not informative, and in many cases came after we’d passed the sight. The uptown tour was a little better, with more information being offered, plus we sat inside which was a little more comfortable, although on both buses the seats were very uncomfortable to sit on for the duration of the round trip (we didn’t hop off due to lack of time).
