We participated in the "slavery and underground railroad tour" during our vacation in New York. The tour was very well organized and very informative. The guide explained to us both the basic features of slavery in the USA and the special role of the city of New York. In addition to outlining the general historical developments, there were also numerous illustrative anecdotes. We would recommend the tour to others!

I loved this tour! So, so interesting and comprehensive. Our guide was so knowledgeable and nothing felt canned. I'm a NYer and I learned so much about my city and about overall US history. I thought NYC was rich in history before, but realizing that I was routinely walking past landmarks and historically significant locations without the slightest knowledge---blew me away. And it was amazing to hear about the people and their lives and their contributions. I was really impressed. Can't recommend this tour highly enough!
