We had been to Manhattan many times, but never really ventured into Brooklyn, so we selected this tour to provide an introduction to the area. The tour did that, taking about 3 hours and passing through parts of Boerum Hill, Cobble Hill, Brooklyn Heights & Carroll Gardens. Included were six stops for locally produced food and drink, primarily at shops selling take-out products. Our guide, Greg, provided a running description of the area and its history along the way. We were fortunate that there were only four of us on the tour (maybe because of the threatening weather?). Larger groups may find hearing the guide a bit difficult while on some of the busier streets. The starting point for the tour is easily reached by the F-train on the subway system, and the ending point is only a short walk back to the subway stop. Overall a very good way to spend some time learning about Brooklyn, but Brooklyn covers a large area so many parts of it remain to be explored.
