We visited Newport for Labor Day weekend. This is our eleventh year of visiting, usually 3-4 times a year. After hearing other guests at our bed & breakfast mention this tour, we impulsively joined up, obtaining our tickets just one hour before the tour. The woman helping us arrange the tour was very pleasant, asked about food allergies, etc, and explained where to meet.
We were not sure what to expect. We had a fun day, and learned bits of Newport history as we strolled historic areas, and visited six restaurants (4 we had not visited before). All of the places we visited were expecting us, welcomed us, and the food was presented promptly. Many of the Hosts/owners chatted with Paula, our guide, and the overall feeling was that they liked having our little group visit them. The food was all very tasty. We had lots of laughs and enjoyed meeting the rest of our group.
Our guide was Paula, the owner of the company.
