PLEASE NOTE that visibility of the northern lights (aurora) is not guaranteed. It is a natural phenomenon we have no control over and no refunds will be given if the aurora cannot be seen.

The road to Murphy Dome is steep and if it is not plowed or is too icy and dangerous we will take customers to an alternative location that provides the same opportunity to see the aurora.

The lights were so beautiful. It was amazing to see them in person. The tour guide, Gina, and her trainee, Kirsten, were very friendly and professional. They took pictures for us and showed us how we could take the best photos of the lights. The original viewing site was dangerous so, Gina emailed the night before that we would be changing the location to another location. The trip to and from the site was very warm and comfortable in the van. It was a very good experience.

We booked the Northern Lights Viewing at Murphy Dome, but due to weather and safety concerns, the location was moved to Cleary Dome. Gina and Kristen, our fantastic tour guides, took us to a great spot where Gina shared fascinating stories about the stars and the aurora. Even with low KP2 activity and 30% cloud cover, we were lucky enough to witness stunning Northern Lights displays! After the first viewing, they took us to another location near the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, where we got to see the aurora a second time. Gina also provided us with useful websites and tips, which helped us improve our chances of spotting the Northern Lights the next day as well. Additionally, she recommended some great local dining spots and shared important dos and don’ts for driving in Alaska’s snowy conditions, which turned out to be a lifesaver for the rest of our trip! A huge thank you to Gina and Kristen for an unforgettable night! Highly recommend this tour to anyone chasing the Northern Lights in Alaska.
