Guests will need one MetroCard swipe or OMNY tap to enter the subway.

Please note that although you will see abandoned subway stations from the train, the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA) doesn't grant public access into them under any circumstances.

AJ was very knowledgeable and you can tell he has interest in the subject matter. He was able to explain many topics that we just had no clue about. Overall, the tour was great, but please note this is not a tour of the "ghost" subway stations. AJ mentioned to us at the end of the tour that is run by the NYC Transit Museum (has been closed since covid, but they plan to re-open in 2023). You do get a quick visual of the City Hall Station that is no longer used, but it is very brief. Great tour guide!

Our tour is about the overall development of the New York System Subway system with equal parts history, interesting and unseen locales open to the public and a glimpse of the ghost subway stations that are not open to the public. A very good tour with a comprehensive history of the transportation with NY. The tour guide (AJ) was very engaging and delivered the tour at a good pace. The opening section was a little too long however once in the subway system it was fascinating.
