This was an amazing way to see sharks. We were met at the pier, given some safety information and details about what we would see, then escorted to the boat. The cage was already anchored at location, so we started our trip out. I expressed to Captain that I was not a great swimmer and he reassured me easily. Swimming is not really necessary (not recommended actually). You can easily hold onto the cage rails. We saw a handful of sharks (Galapagos sharks) and enjoyed the experience. I wish we could have spent more time in the cage. Understand that the water is very rough frequently in the winter time on the north shore. I never get seasick (I fly in a helicopter for a living), but I actually got sea sick that day. Take some sea sickness meds before you go. I still wouldn't change doing it. Highly recommend this trip.
