Good trip. First time diving with the sharks. I know a lot of people complain about sea sickness on the trip. We didn't experience it as we had a calmer day. This was in early March. The tour guide did say they have issues with that sometimes. Fair warning. It's about 3 miles out to the cage, they said. As for the sharks, really cool. We had two swimming around us during our trip. Galapagos sharks and they were about 9-10 feet long. We got 20 minutes in the cage and the company provides snorkel gear so you can go under the water (cage floats at top of water, so you can sit at the surface or go underneath to see the sharks). Really cool experience for first-timers and with two kids who love sharks. One kind of weird sidenote, the cage was missing a bar and it had a rope taped across in its place. I guess that's a good sign that they aren't worried about the shark's getting in the cage.

Damn cool! I didn't expect to have so much fun but still it's a bit scary when you're surrounded by sharks everywhere.. do it tho, life time experience

Our family of 4 (Including a 10 & 12 yr old boys) just came back from this experience and it was so much FUN! It was quite wavy, and we had a few seasick people on board with us so prepare for this if you are prone to seasickness, especially in the winters here! Our family loved the rocky ride out there, we specifically chose the 1st tour of the day which was 0700 for this specific day. And we are so glad we did (even though it sucked waking up a 0500 to get here on time!) On the way our we saw 4 bottlenose dolphins which was exciting and lots of flying fish. When we go to the site, we immediately started seeing the sharks come around. It was extremely wavey but always manageable and made it more of an adventure! When we got into the cage, it was really wavy against the boat this was only until they moved the cage to the back of the boat, and it got better. We loved every minute of it. We saw Barry the Barracuda with his 2 teeth sticking out, (LOL) and at least 6 large Galapagos sharks! The sharks stayed around us the whole time and my hubby and boys dove to the bottom of the cage to experience it from there. We were smiling ear to ear, this was exactly what we had hoped for!!!! And on the way back we saw whales, a perfect ending!!! Our Captain Grizzle and Matty kept us informed and safe the whole time! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company and tour to anyone.
