• Please note there is no cell reception at the check-in area. If presenting an e-voucher, you should have this ready on your phone prior to parking your car. Tickets will be timed for the next available tram car as a first come first serve basis.

The Tramway is subject to delays and periodic shutdowns due to unforeseen circumstances and is not responsible for ticket refunds or the inability to redeem a voucher
Tramway cars hold 80 people each and there are no seats. Passengers remain standing throughout the journey up the mountain
Distance is approximately 12,800 feet, with a vertical ascent of 5,873 feet - 15 minutes travel time one way
The tramway is known as a double reversible type of aerial tramway. Each car remains on one pair of track cables moving up and down without turning around. Each car serves as a counter balance to the other, the descending car is helping pull the ascending car up the mountain
Strollers are permitted on this tour
During holiday periods, you may experience long lines. We recommend you travel outside of these peak times to fully enjoy everything the tramway and mountain have to offer.
There is parking in 13 paved lots near Valley Station. There is free shuttle service from parking lots to Valley Station entrance available weekends and holiday periods

Be prepared for long waits. 2 1/2hours unless you have a restaurant reservation. The crowd was almost gone by 2:30. So better to go later. Beautiful views!

The views were pretty amazing, indeed! Our youngest daughter just had an issue with her popping ears going back down to where we had parked our car. Actually, we both did! But, other than that, it all went well! The snow up on the San Jacinto Mountain made our experience more memorable.

Very strange way to reserve tickets. Instead of selling tickets for a specific time, I bought tickets via apple pay for a day without a time range. Our flight departs at five in the afternoon so if we got to the tram by noon it shouldn’t be a problem, right? Wrong. We got up there and a three to four hour wait was posted…we went down to Palm Springs for lunch rather than potentially miss our flight. And refund? Eh. I guess I just donated a bunch of money. Absolutely disappointed but not really surprised…super sketchy way to do ticketing and it’s really my fault for essentially getting scammed
