Our cage-free experience allows you to SAFELY swim with sharks in their natural environment. You will walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for these beautiful creatures. Photos and Videos are included for free on every tour! We are a Native Hawaiian family owned and operated company rooted in Haleiwa, Hawai'i on the North Shore of O'ahu.

A safety diver will escort you into the water where you will be able to safely watch as well as swim with the sharks, and other pelagic creatures. While swimming in the open ocean with sharks and other pelagic creatures, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the ocean and its inhabitants - disposing of the irrational fears and misconceptions of sharks and other ocean creatures.

This is a "cage-free" experience where we will be free swimming with sharks for about 30 minutes. No heavy equipment is used. Just us with snorkel gear - so we keep the experience as natural as possible.

  • Minimum age is 5 years old - must be accompanied by an adult
  • Get a good night's rest before your adventure!
  • We kindly ask you leave behind any preconceived notions about sharks and experience this adventure with an open mind
  • Always be attentive and present in the water, keeping your ears above water and paying close attention to the Safety Diver's instructions
  • If you are prone to seasickness, please take Dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour
  • A minimum of 3 people per trip is required for any trip. If you are booking as a single passenger, we will contact you if the minimum trip requirements are not met.

IslandView was able to accommodate us last minute due to a cancellation by another company and for that I am grateful...but our experience on the tour was disappointing. The guys who do the tour are very young and seemed inexperienced. They were not social with the customers, did not provide much information about the shark species, and dismissive of questions when asked. The time spent in the water is far too short, only 30 minutes, and most of that spent trying to listen to instructions and staying close to instructor, being kicked by other people, than enjoying the sharks. Ours was cut off even shorter because a member of the tour group got sick. Also, they did not even assist the poor girl when back on the boat. We were excited that they had a photographer to capture the experience but the photos were so amateur blurry and very poor quality. Yes, we saw many sharks - galapagos and sandbar - but the experience was disappointing. For the money and memories I would reserve early do yourself a favor and go with One Ocean.

This is a one in a lifetime trip you're if your a thrill seeker this is the trip for you you don't spend that much time in water bout 30 min one dive but it was a lot of sharks

Our last full day of the family vacation was our shark dive. My wife and three teenage daughters. An experience that has to be done to fully understand. It’s like nothing else and I can’t recommend it enough. A memory we will share as a family for a lifetime. We chose Island Tours based on their longstanding family run business and connection to the Hawaiian culture. They did an outstanding job making sure everyone was comfortable start to finish. We had four sharks join us for the dive. Thank you once again.
