Our cage-free experience allows you to SAFELY swim with sharks in their natural environment. You will walk away with a new perspective and appreciation for these beautiful creatures. Photos and Videos are included for free on every tour! We are a Native Hawaiian family owned and operated company rooted in Haleiwa, Hawai'i on the North Shore of O'ahu.

A safety diver will escort you into the water where you will be able to safely watch as well as swim with the sharks, and other pelagic creatures. While swimming in the open ocean with sharks and other pelagic creatures, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the ocean and its inhabitants - disposing of the irrational fears and misconceptions of sharks and other ocean creatures.

This is a "cage-free" experience where we will be free swimming with sharks for about 30 minutes. No heavy equipment is used. Just us with snorkel gear - so we keep the experience as natural as possible.

  • We kindly ask you leave behind any preconceived notions about sharks and experience this adventure with an open mind
  • Always be attentive and present in the water, keeping your ears above water and paying close attention to the Safety Diver's instructions
  • If you are prone to seasickness, please take Dramamine 1 hour prior to the tour
  • A minimum of 3 people per trip is required for any trip. If you are booking as a single passenger, we will contact you if the minimum trip requirements are not met.

I've been shark diving before, but the experience with these guys felt much more authentic and real in the water. the environment was complex, waves, rain, current, off-shore and we were diving far from the boat for safety reasons...all with sharks swimming around us and circling our small group of free divers. Very cool!

I want you to forget all preconceived notions of what you think a shark encounter looks like. Forget what you have seen on shark week, forget about shark fearing movies like Jaws and The Shallows and instead, envision a quiet, peaceful experience. Envision yourself floating with the rhythm of the sea and looking down at the slow, graceful movements of powerful, seductive creatures. The first time I saw the sharks circling the boat an excitement filled within me, not a fear. I felt lucky that we would finally be able to swim with and experience what most people fear their whole lives. When my best friend and I entered the water we were fortunate enough to be surrounded by 6-8 Galapagos sharks. That in itself was a real treat but little did we know the best was yet to come. Fifteen minutes later we were graced by the presence of a beautiful, massive, 13 ft Tiger Shark; a very rare and powerful encounter. I left this dive with more respect for these powerful animals, with a sense of calm and power that I believe everyone should experience in their lifetime and I left yearning for more and ready for my next fix. If you are ready to have an epic, unreal, life changing adventure then Island View Pelagic Shark Dive Tour is a MUST.

Where else could I dive with wild sharks? Simply the most amazing experience of my life. Just 6 people on the boat and an experienced crew who made us feel very safe. I can’t describe how awesome it is to slide into the ocean and be within feet of a real live shark who is just as curious about me as I am about him. Just one shark for about 10 minutes but by the end of the dive there were 7 or 8 and a couple of hammerheads! These people really respect nature - I can’t recommend this highly enough - surely the experience of a lifetime. Don’t miss it :-)
