All those lucky enough to make it to Santa Fe for a photo-cultural experience will not be disappointed in any way. I am a professional photographer/educator/artist. knowledgeable in all aspects of photography.
We set out from Santa Fe stopping along the way to our destination of Chimayo making photographs of the sculpted landscapes, Sangre di Cristo mountains, Truchas Peaks, and the Jemez. Chimayo is an amazing location filled with unique local trappings and the famous Santuario de Chimayo. We arrive in the picturesque village of Chimayo to photograph and explore until heading back to Santa Fe. Photo-instructions throughout! Emphasis on composition, lens choice, landscape, architectural tips, and more. This is truly a great 1/2-day photo workshop. Digital cameras and smartphones are welcome.

We have done previous photography tours elsewhere but came away from this tour with a significantly improved understanding of how to bring beauty & appreciation to our scenery photography. David was patient, knowledgeable & re-enforcing. Would highly recommend!

As an amateur photographer, I rarely get a chance to focus exclusively on my photography, let alone with an expert guide. David has thoughtfully laid out a series of teachable moments at multiple locations, designed to provide excellent photographic opportunities as well as teach the fundamentals of composition and editing. This was a great trip, and an amazing learning opportunity.

This was an interesting workshop and David is a great instructor. He shared his ideas and suggestions for taking better shots and improving composition. Anyone who would like to improve their skills - for every day photos or grand vistas - will find this to be money and time well spent. David also shared some history of the area and people, the stop in Chimayo is quite a unique place. Be sure you also take the shots you want to take, not just the suggested ones! It’s a beautiful area and I’m so grateful that I found David’s tour. You won’t regret it!

I am not sure why they didn't give me a five-star review. The review above sure sounds like it. I treat everyone who takes my workshops with the utmost care and no matter what it takes I make all of my workshops great learning experiences, along with filling everybody in on all the local restaurants etc. This workshop is about as good as possible for a unique learning experience. The locations are outstanding and during the workshop, I work with every participant from beginning to end on many aspects of composition, portraiture, photo-editing and much more. I love teaching!
