All those lucky enough to make it to Santa Fe for a photo-cultural experience will not be disappointed in any way. I am a professional photographer/educator/artist. knowledgeable in all aspects of photography.
We set out from Santa Fe stopping along the way to our destination of Chimayo making photographs of the sculpted landscapes, Sangre di Cristo mountains, Truchas Peaks, and the Jemez. Chimayo is an amazing location filled with unique local trappings and the famous Santuario de Chimayo. We arrive in the picturesque village of Chimayo to photograph and explore until heading back to Santa Fe. Photo-instructions throughout! Emphasis on composition, lens choice, landscape, architectural tips, and more. This is truly a great 1/2-day photo workshop. Digital cameras and smartphones are welcome.

David's photo workshop started us on an exciting vacation. He's very patient and effective. He allowed us to make mistakes and helped us see what we could do to improve. By doing that he made the techniques easy to understand and memorize. I also like the way he showed us how to edit a photo with Snapseed. Instead of overwhelming us with too many options, he showed us the key techniques that made a real difference. I enjoyed our visit to Chimayo too, It's such a charming village. We came back with many good photos and a nice portrait David took for us. After the trip, I spent two days to edit the photos and received a lot of praises in my social media circle. When I visited art galleries and saw landscape typical of New Mexico high desert, I found myself appreciate the artists more. I'll always remember the nice trip with David.

I am not sure why I wasn't given a five-star review. Everything she mentions is very positive. I have over 50 five-star reviews and nothing less! These folks are foreigners and possibly not familiar with review etiquette. Every single person who takes my workshops is blown away with the attention I give them and what they take away, including information on what else to pursue while in the Santa Fe area, restaurants, museums, day trips etc.

Received some good direction on composition and camera settings from David. David caused me to think of compositing some different ways that are helpful. There was a lot of individual attention. Well Wittgenstein time and money.

David is an excellent teacher. This experience is more than a tour; it’s a course on the creative process that will leave you with gorgeous photos (that Viator is not letting me upload) and a new way of looking at the world around you.
