The PistachioLand tour offers a ride on a 14 passenger electric vehicle through the pistachio orchards and vineyards. This is a working farm where pistachios and wine grapes are produced, and wine and candy is also produced on-site. Free samples of nuts and wine are available in the gift shop. Although you can walk-in to purchase a $2 ticket, booking guarantees a seat unless canceled for weather. Risks: Open air vehicle exposed to weather, wildlife and farm operations. Tour vehicle travels on a bumpy, gravel road. Pets are not allowed on tour due to insurance requirements. Waivers required from each guest. Must be seated on the vehicle 15 minutes prior to departure.

We’re on vacation out west and drove WAY out of our way to visit the largest pistachio in the world as my husband’s a pistachio “nut” Those extra miles were more than worth it! Take a motorized tour on the vineyard and pistachio orchard (don’t miss the nut & wine samples inside the gift shop!) and finish your visit with a scoop (or two) of their pistachio ice cream - so tasty! Hats off to Emilio, our driver & tour guide and Tara who poured our wine samples and perfectly explained the tastes we’d experience in each. What a perfect New Mexico afternoon!

We did not do the tour, but the place itself is deserving of 5 stars. The pistachio ice cream is INCREDIBLE, the shop is huge, and the giant pistachio is a cute photo op. They have so many flavors of pistachios, and you can sample them (for free). They also have free wine tasting. I ended up buying several bags of flavored pistachios to bring home as souvenirs for friends and family. This might be the best roadside attraction I’ve ever stopped for!

I expected just a photo op and high-priced tourist trap BS. Instead, Garret did an awesome job with a farm tour, the wine tasting was excellent, pistachio samples were tasty, and ice cream portions were generous. I definitely would recommend it.
