See bears in their natural habitat on this 3 hour tour from Ketchikan. Take a 20 minute flight west over the inside passage to Prince of Wales Island, one of the largest Islands in the United States, and visit an official, United States Forest Service maintained bear viewing platform. Get-up close, safe, and uncrowded views of bears as they hunt for Salmon along the Dog Salmon Creek.

Wonderful experience with Seawind aviation ! I contacted them because this type of excursion were fully booked on our cruise (NCL Encore0 and they answered right away with the right level of detail. On our excursion day, they were nice enough to drive us back to the deck when city shuttles were gone (wonderful, as it would have been an issue) On top of that, the excursion was amazing. Our family of five and a couple only. We went to an isolated island, did a 10 minutes walk in the woods before getting to the plateform. We were alone, a bit scared as the bears were right around us, but felt very safe with our guide, who was also very knowledgeable and interesting. An amazing experience for us all

This was a great trip! It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful seaplane ride and a beautiful short walk through part of a rain forest. Our guide was great and very passionate about the rain forest. I was bummed that we did not see any bears, but it was still a great and memorable trip!

It was a great great time! Dave was our guide when we got to the forest and it was INCREDIBLE! All of the staff was great and kind. Dave was super knowledgeable and you could tell he loved his job more the just the money, he had a true passion to love and show you bears. We went in late august in the morning. More people seemed to book the afternoon so if you’re willing to get up early you will probably have less people!
