Dreadful! Once we had arrived at Chicago airport we had to phone a number in New York! to confirm we had arrived before we could even get the private transfer. Not only did we lose a great deal of money using a mobile phone registered in the UK, the public phones would not recognise the number either. The car and driver should have been waiting for us, not us waiting for the car to arrive!
The most important thing is that the driver got us to our destination safely.
Two things could have been improved. 1. Calling from the baggage area of the airport is very noisy, and with the strong accent of the dispatcher, it was very difficult to hear his instructions and I had to ask for repeated instructions many times. 2. The driver was unfriendly and did not even return a greeting.
I had to call the company 3 times to find where the driver was. He was not in the place that I was told to stand and had to wait quite a long time for him to arrive. Not a great experience for first time use.
