This was my elderly mother's birthday present. We have lived in a nearby state for three years and she has wanted to go to the city, but I didn't think it was possible until Sheldon made her dream come true. The trip included pick up at our home in a Mercedes sprinter large enough to take the entire family including adult grandkids, wheelchair and walker. The driver Nazim was polite and skilled. The day was personalized to the 91 year old birthday girl's requests. Sheldon was enthusiastic and educational. His knowledge of New York history, people and architecture is extensive. We did not traverse a single street without an interesting tidbit of information that one could never find in any history book. He also included pearls of information about places to explore, dine etc when my husband and I come to the city on our own. I will definitely be using best New York Tours in the future when distant friends and relatives come to visit.

From the luxury minibus, the history of New York, especially 9/11, the personal humor, the ability to engage all levels of interest, to the prompt response to my email requests for photo opts, Sheldon’s tour hit all our high points. Sheldon’s knowledge of New York was evident in his enthusiasm that he brought to our tour. He customized each stop to maximize the time even including a few extra stops because traffic allowed. Best money spent on a tour. It made my birthday celebration.

This tour was amazing! Sheldon lives and breathes New York City, his love for the infrastructure, history, and architect was wonderful! I loved how the SUV would pull up to each location/site and allow us the chance to get up close and personal (hence my title)! :) Sheldon is witty and sharp so be sure to know that he will certainly put your frown upside down! I travelled with my Australian family and they were very hard to impress and almost determined to not like the United States, but Sheldon's humor and wit was a firce to be reckoned with!:D It was wonderful being in the audience and seeing New York City for it's culture, history, and bustling atmosphere! If you want to see all the excellent attractions and have an intelligent person show you, book this tour! Thanks Sheldon!
