Sheldon arrived before our driver did, and we had been standing right next to him outside our hotel. When the SUV arrived, he turned to us, cracked a joke, and asked if we were his next tour participants. We were surprised but we could tell from that moment that this day was going to fun. At every place we stopped, he seemed to know everything about the landmarks we visited and the surrounding areas. Mixed in with some hilarious jokes, he made for a very entertaining time around New York City! Sheldon made sure that we were all taken care of while we explored the city. When returning to our hotel after an already extensive tour, we longed for more! Would not trade this incredible day for anything!

The highlight of our weekend in NYC was by far our private customized tour with Sheldon, the weekend before Christmas. My teen boys agree - and being they are 13, 14, and 15 - this says a lot on how entertaining and interesting yet educational the entire experience was. The weather was cool and a little rainy, so it was nice to have the vehicle to bring us around quickly to see some sites that we would never have seen otherwise. Just some of the highlights from our 6 hour tour was seeing the Highline Park, visiting Williamsburg neighborhood in Brooklyn, Cathedral of Saint John the Divine and Harlem, and of course 9/11 Ground Zero. Hearing Sheldon's stories from someone who has lived there his entire life was definitely the way to go and worth the extra cost over a shared tour or a tour from someone who isn't a true New Yorker. We feel blessed we were able to have Sheldon / Best New York Tours show us around. If you are wondering if you should spend the money and how long you should book - do the 6 hours and book it now! You will see more than you think is possible and the day will fly by!
