I found Captain Mike on Trip Advisor and due his great reviews contacted him about doing a charter for a 4 hour salmon charter. My son and I were on a cruise and had limited time. All of our questions were answered proptly. We ended up booking the charter. We were met at the Cruise Line pier by Captain Mike and walked a short distance to his craft. After going over the safty requlations and necessary paperwork we headed out on the bay. I noticed that all of the other charters booked through the Cruise Line were going in the opposite direction. Captain Mike said that they go to the same location everyday. So cataching anything is up to luck. Captain Mike keeps daily accurate records of his trips logging weather, winds, time of day, tides, catch, and with what. So he does his due diligence for your charter. We were fishing in a very short time and in not time had a fish on. The whole morning was like that. We had 5 doubles of which we landed 3. After catching our limit of silvers and three pinks it was time to head back. Captain Mike took us by the processing plant where we divided up the fish and filled out hte nexessary papers to have them processed and shipped to our homes. After giving Captain Mike a Silver we netted out 76 pounds of salmon. A great morning fishing I'd say. My son and I could not have been happier with our charter with the Alaska Catch. After being out with Captain Mike the morning it felt like we had been out with one of our buddies. You certainly can't go worng with this charter. If fish are to be caught he will do what it takes to find them for you. If ever in Katchikan again
and fishing is in order, It will be with Captain Mike.
