Captain Mike was awesome! Once we got to the halibut grounds we caught our quota in about an hour. Also caught a rock fish and a cod. So he took us to some salmon grounds and we caught a couple silver salmon before it was time to get us back to our boat. One of our fishing party was sea sick while we were out and he was really awesome about it, asking numerous times what he could do to help. Rotated her seat several times to help make her comfortable. He helped us get our catch in and was happy to take it to the processor for us. We received our processed filets via overnight delivery today :) since we were on the "catch" we cut our all aboard a little close. He walked us up to the gang way to make sure we made our boat. It was a spectacular day!

We are heading back right this moment from an absolutely incredible fishing charter with Captain Mike from The Alaska Catch. We sadly were only in Ketchikan for a short cruise stop, but Mike was able to max out our time. He found a perfect halibut spot where we caught our limit, including an 80-pounder in the slot that we unfortunately couldn't keep. We then moved on to salmon grounds with plenty of success before heading back to the cruise ship. We will come back for sure. I've done several Alaska charters and Captain Mike is top class. Not only is he knowledgeable and experienced, but he is a great guy. He did his best to make sure we had a wonderful time. Thanks, Captain Mike! Erik, Roger, and Roger

We got off our cruise ship shortly after 7 a.m. (get in line early as lines were long) and Captain Mike was waiting with his sign. There is one last quick stop to catch a bathroom on the pier before you go down the dock to the boat although he can do a make-shift port a potty on the boat. It was a bit misty out so we were able to stay inside the boat and hop out to catch the salmon so we really did not need rain gear. We caught seven Coho (silvers) and three pinks and shipped them all home. With the limited time in port, trolling was a great way to catch a lot of salmon in a short period of time. Next time we hope we are in port longer to halibut fish. The boat is spotless and he will have snacks and drinks on-hand for everyone. We had enough time afterwards to walk downtown and shop a bit before we headed back to the ship. Great experience with Captain Mike.
