Strictly Private Tours from Same Family or Group
A minimum of 2 / Maximum 3 passengers per helicopter. Groups of 4+ taken in multiple helicopters. Depending on availability, may take off at the same time.
Due to comfort and weight balance of the aircraft, passengers weights limit must not exceed 275lbs per person; 620lbs total. If weight restrictions are exceeded, we will cancel the tour and no refund will be given
A minimum of 2 seats must be purchased even if only 1 passenger wishes to travel; this is a private tour, and passenger groups are not mixed
Minimum age is 7 years, required to sit by a closed door. Ages 12 years and older may sit next to an open door.
ALL tours are Doors-Off (Except for passengers 7-11 years old)
Passengers must provide their own means of transportation to our office for check in.
Check in is 40 minutes prior. Late check ins will be considered as a no show and subject to full price.

Nils was fabulous right frrom the start, calming my nervousness and assuring us it was going to be amazing. It was more than amazing he educated us, flew so both sides had photo ops, pointed out landmark sights and returned us back safe and sound. We would highly recommend this tour and pilot Nils to your Hawaiian memories.

If the size of your chopper isn't the most important thing fly Mauna Loa. Other companies fly big, fancy, turbine powered monsters that dwarf the little Robinson 4 seaters Mauna Loa uses. But these little birds have a big advantage: everyone has a window seat (and you can fly doors off!) To be fair, I love to fly and the closer I can be to a bird the better. That's what Mauna Loa gives you that you can't get on one of the large helicopters. You are flying with nothing between you and the amazing beauty of the island (including other passengers.) Our pilot Chris was an excellent host and guide. We felt completely secure in his hands and even my wife who is not an enthusiastic flier was completely comfortable. The only disadvantage is that the small helicopters only seat 3 plus the pilot so larger parties will have to split up.
