We had some prior experience climbing, and the guide was definitely willing to tailor the experience both to our abilities and to our energy level throughout the day. One of the great perks was the guide doing all the belaying, which is normally quite a chore :) Also, you can do a multipitch climb onto one of the fins, and it's really really cool! Finally, you get a gorgeous view of the park from above.

My three children (16, 11, 10) and I went climbing for the first time ever. Our guide, Patrick (the redhead!), was amazing, friendly, helpful, reassuring, and knowledgeable. Before the climb, he called me personally to discuss expectations and gave tips on how to combat the parking situation at Garden of the Gods. During the first climb, my two youngest kids got scared at the top and were unable to come down on their own. Patrick expertly and safely retrieved each of them and they were able to continue climbing as they gained confidence throughout the day. Our experience was incredible and I would definitely hire Patrick again as he was professional but also great with the kids.

We booked a climb at the very last minute - and the FRCC staff and setup could not have been more accommodating and easy! Our guide Ryan called us personally to review our skill level, questions and needs for the climb - which included me (late 40s), my husband (mid 40s) and our 9yo son (who climbs at indoor rock gyms frequently). We climbed at Red Rock Canyon, and the routes and instruction and guidance (and encouragement!) Ryan offered us were simply perfect - especially considering our varying ages and climbing experience. It was an amazing experience. I would highly, highly recommend this company (and particularly Ryan as a guide) - we felt comfortable and confident at every turn with him, but definitely challenged at each ascent spot. Five stars all around for safety, personality, cost, accessibility, compatibility, flexibility and overall service. Keep up the great work, FRCC!
