Met Kona Town crew for a semi private lesson. I didn't know what to expect as I have never surfed before, but I didn't think I would get up on the board. I met my instructor Ma Kai and he put me at ease immediately. He was very thorough and more concerned about our personal safety. On my first try I was up and riding a wave thanks to his guidance and training. I rode many more during my lessons. This was the best two hours of my day and money well spent. I am still smiling from this experience. Thank you Ma Kai and Jeff for a great morning.

I wanted to take a surfing lesson for my 50th birthday. Everyone on the big island said Konatownsurfadventures are the best. They are the best! The instructors Brandon and Jonah were very patient and with their instructions I was able to get up on my first try! I won’t be competing professionally, (lol) but the experience was amazing! I look forward to coming back next year and doing it again. Thanks for teaching an old girl a new trick! P.S I would like to give a special shoutout to Ausher (hope I spelled it right) thanks for the assist getting back on my board.

What a great experience! I live on island but have never learned to surf. This was such a fun filled experience! The water was so full of marine life, that even while you are paddling you see plenty of fish, coral reef and even turtles! Great area to learn, very small waves. Our instructor, Makai was very nice, knowledgable and funny. He made sure we caught at least one wave and was super thrilled for us when we did! It was amazing to catch a wave and ride it through with everyone in the surf school cheering behind you. They provide water booties, a rash guard and snacks and drinks for when you are done. Such a great company and a must do while on island!!
