Private Tour of Mesa Verde With an Archeologist-Trained Guide

Experience some of the most notable and best-preserved archaeological sites in the United States. Mesa Verde encompasses over 80 square miles and protects over 5,000 archaeological sites, including the famous Cliff Palace and nearly 600 cliff dwellings, some of which are more than 800 years old. Tickets for Cliff Palace are an additional purchase.
When you book this tour you’ll sit back and relax while our experienced, knowledgeable archaeologist-trained guide takes you around the National Park. With your guide’s knowledge, you will be able to ask questions, read literature, and listen to your own customized tour of the park.

PLEASE NOTE: We are NOW OFFERING CLIFF PALACE with the tickets. All guides have been trained extensively by our in-house archeologists.
This tour requires a 2-person minimum. If minimums are not met a full refund will be given. *Gratuity not included*.

The trip to Mesa Verde was over the top. Our guide was knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging with incredible detail about the area. The information was provide in such a manner it kept our interest and motivated us to want to learn more. We were able to start to understand how the civilization functioned and evolved and left the area. It was a great day and provided us with a hunger to learn more.

We were picked up promptly at the downtown Durango spot. Small tour group which was great; gave us more time at each spot. Got excellent info on each spot from mesa top to cliff dwellings. Ticket to ranger lead tour of the Cliff Palace was included as well as lunch. We made about ten stops and got a good sense of the pueblo people and their culture. The tour made it so much easier to get around to each site. I think if we drove we would have passed by some areas since the signage is limited in the park. Tour lasted about 7 hours with about one and a half hours at the dwelling.

Ask for Si. He is very knowledgeable about Mesa Verde--not just the history but a deeper understanding of the climate, fauna, scientific research, the geology and surrounding archeological findings. A great conversationalist able to hold his own on a wide variety of subjects. You will not be disappointed. My wife and I both left feeling that it was time and money well spent. Si is truly a quality person that handles his professional activities at the highest level.
