I wish I had read some more reviews before taking our kids to this show. We didn’t know anything about Reza and were told by the booking agent that this was a family friendly show. It’s not. This show belongs in Las Vegas, not Branson. Many of the tricks were great and very fun, and our kids are younger so the negative aspects went over their heads, but that’s the only reason we didn’t walk out. Had our kids been older we would have had to leave for sure. Many parts of the show were awesome and it has great potential to be a good show for families. Sadly, the show is highly sexualized!! The assistants wear very sexualized costumes. For example, with one of the costumes the girls were all wearing thong bodysuits with low rise pants so you could see that they were thong bodysuits. The girls do stripper like dances throughout the whole show. While many of the tricks were fine and just fun, some of his bigger tricks come across as very sadistic. For example, after doing a sexual dance a woman, while acting worried and upset, is laid on a board and pushed into spinning airplane engine blades. The most disturbing trick was, again, after doing a very sexual dance, a woman is tied up and impaled with a giant screw. She literally “gets screwed” (the metaphor was lost on my kids but not lost on me) then the screw lifts into the air and the impaled women is spinning around, limp, on the screw. All during the act the woman is acting worried and upset. It’s such a shame because the show could still be awesome and super entertaining without the sexualization and sadism.
