The tour was very good. We took it right when we got into town so it helped us get our bearings and learn about some important places and get an idea of what we wanted to visit in more depth later. Alexa was very personable and knowledgeable tour guide. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that we were not told until an hour before the tour while we were still on the road into town that we needed masks to cut through the hospital for a bathroom break and short cut to the second half of the tour, and the tour company didn’t provide them which left us scrambling at the last minute to find some which we were luckily able to purchase at a Rite Aid nearby. We would have happily brought some with us had we been notified in advance. The only other criticism was the very fast walking pace of the tour. I would have preferred a slightly slower pace, but the listening devices made it not a huge deal for my husband and I to linger a little further behind the others. All in all I would recommend the tour, and I enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Richmond and it’s history.
