Enjoy a fantastic three-course dining experience aboard our Elegant Dining Car. Don't miss the spectacular views from the open-air car, which you can visit at any time during your journey.

Your dining experience begins with a glass of sparkling wine, followed by a salad, warm french rolls with butter, your choice of entree. We'll complete your experience with our chef's choice dessert.

Entree Choices: Chicken Marsala, Buffalo Short Rib, Vegetarian Chef's Choice, or Atlantic Salmon.

We seat guests at tables of four. If your party is smaller or larger, you may be sat with other guests, a wonderful railcar dining tradition we carry forward aboard our train.

Royal Gorge Bridge and Park

Guests aboard the Royal Gorge Route Railroad will get a fantastic view of the Royal Gorge Bridge from deep within the Royal Gorge. Just step outside to the open-air car during your journey for spectacular views of the canon, and be sure to look 1,000+ feet above for a view of the Royal Gorge Bridge.

Our family of 5 absolutely enjoyed our experience in the vista dome. The package we pre-ordeded was already at our table upon arrival. Our waitress Acacia was amazing! She was very attentive and made sure we didnt forget our flowers when we left. She also came to get us when our food was served at our table.

We had a great time on the tour! We were able to stand out in the uncovered car and take in the views. We saw big horn sheep and a bald eagle. Sandra took great care of us. She was friendly and quick with our drinks and food.

Disgusting. Shoddy. Low class. This event is advertised as a classy, professional, unforgettable experience. For our family, it was a shocking, tacky and awful experience. The train looks nothing like the videos and brochures. Old fashioned, dirty and sub standard. The Thanksgiving lunch in first class was disgusting. The salad was a whole head of lettuce with brown bits, not even individual leaves! The main course was ice cold and the dessert revolting and cheap. The servers were so unprofessional and sloppily dressed, they were tossing plates around and flinging the leftover food onto the trash bins, cursing about their tasks - nothing at all like the high end, featured “royal”experience. I had driven 2 hours with my kids to do this and it was beyond awful. I was too embarrassed to cause a scene on the ride - not like you can walk out! They pack the train full like a tin of sardines. To crown it all, I sent the management an email to express my satisfaction. The reply I received was pathetic. They thanked me for my feedback, said their leadership were on the ride and all is good. Seriously???? WTF???? 🤬 I demanded a full refund and just never heard from them again. Shocking how companies can misrepresent their offering with no conscience and then just ignore a guest complaint. Please dont waste your money to do this trip. More than $600 for 3 people. Oh, and we pass a North Pole village which looks like a group of kindergarten kids put it together. And this is part of the Polar Express??? Your kids will be traumatized seeing this junk. Shocking how this is even permitted to run.
