I stayed at a hotel one block from this new attraction. While I have visited NYC numerous times, other members in my party haven’t. The first part of RISENY is a traditional museum about the history it had from being Nieuw Amsterdam as a Dutch settlement to the major American city it is today. The highlight of RISENY is when you get to celebrate “New Year’s Eve” or some other celebration moving form the 1950s to the present. The visuals are quite amazing as you feel that you are flying through Manhattan and the other boroughs. I would say that it’s a good thing to visit once while you’re in NYC. But the novelty will wear off, especially if you are a local or another person who regularly comes to Manhattan.

I so badly wanted to like this. This is a mix of a lot of different things NY. The problem with this is that too many people move freely about this place and it becomes too crowded to see things and we got stuck with people that were having a great time and not giving a flip about the people that they were around. The language they used and the fact that they had to video themselves at every single thing took up so much time that we really couldn't enjoy it the way that we should have. When you come to the end of the things to see, you stand in several lines waiting to do the ride that is similar to Soaring at Disney and it takes so long to get everyone thru the rooms and on the ride that you need to make sure you have no where else to be anywhere near that time or it wll cause you to be late. Aside from the people, the place is interesting and informative.
