Road to Hana needs an experienced driver and we had one. Beautiful sites! Grateful for the visit and in awe to experience all of it. Getting in the waterfall is slippery so be careful. Other than that everyone is wondeful. Thank you for the memories!

Best & Safest way to travel on this curvy & sometimes one lane road. He was familiar with the sites & took precautions to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. Enjoyable ride. We are an older couple & I'm a plus size. This was a great option!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This was the highlight of our vacation. Alec has been doing these tours for 30 years! He knows every nook and cranny, knows the history of the area so well! He led us to beautiful waterfalls and scenic overlooks that were not known to tourists. Our family likes to be fairly physically active, so he tailored our tour to include a good bit of hiking and climbing, but he adjusts the tour stops based on guests’ preferences. If you will plan to do hiking/climbing, I would recommend a close-toed hiking sandal (like keens). The drive on the Road to Hana is treacherous. I was happy to have Alec drive it for us! I felt safe and comfortable. Bathroom stops were offered regularly. He brought plenty of cold water and provided us with an amazing midmorning treat and lunch. All day long, he took loads of photos and videos of us (with our phone). He is an exceptional photographer; the photos are gorgeous! This tour was worth every penny. We enjoyed an active, peaceful, informative, stunning day. Thank you, Mayor Alec!
