Our Sonoma Coast Kayak Tour takes you to the edge of the beautiful Pacific Ocean where we explore the Russian River as it meets the sea. Birds, seals, the occasional passing whale, and relaxing on the river are the highlights of this great day on the water. Expect to spend approximately 2.5 hours on this tour which includes paddling the river and walking on the beach while gazing out on the Pacific Ocean.

Subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
Please bring water shoes or sandals.
We will get wet. Bring clothes you won't mind getting wet and consider bringing a change of clothes.
The weather at the coast can change quickly. Please bring an extra layer in case it is a bit chilly. It's better to have more clothes than you need rather than wish you had an extra layer.
Due to Covid-19 we are unable to supply food or beverages. If you would like lunch during or after your tour please feel free to bring something to enjoy or your guide can recommend some of our fantastic local cafes or restaurants.

We had fantastic time. We really appreciated all information about clothings and tips we received by email prior to our to be prepared to have a good experience despite the weather and it was also very helpful to locate the meeting point. The day of the tour the weather “collaborated” as it was a beautiful sunny morning and not very windy day. Eric is very knowledgeable and we learn a lot about the area! We loved kayaking and we are looking to do it again with more friends!

We enjoyed every minute of our kayaking tour with Erik. A great way to see nature, even for the inexperienced kayaker.. The beautiful calm waters and the brisk temperatures were a welcome change of pace after a few days in Napa. Loved seeing the variety of birds and of course the seals! Erik is knowledgeable about this beautiful area and we were happy recipients of all that he shared.

Erik provided detailed instructions for attire, arrival, and parking. He was easy to spot at the location, with an immediately warm and funny personality. He gave us a quick briefing about kayak safety and then we were off! We began the tour going up the Russian River, spotting cows, gulls, and even a blue heron. He provided rich and thorough history of the river, environment, and community on the Sonoma Coast. The latter half of the tour was us heading to the mouth of the river, where we encountered numerous young, friendly seals. Erik went above and beyond by not only sending us a link of all the photos he took of us and the wildlife we encountered, but he provided a list of recommendations for food and activities in the area after. Overall, Erik's tour far exceeded our expectations and is easily the highlight of our trip.
