Tours are fun, fascinating and offers twice as many tour stops that not only include the colorful sites of the largest LGBTQ community in the world, but explores the spectrum of sexual and gender diversity and the struggle with achieving equal rights in America.   No other tour offer this rare and educational opportunity!

Tours are conducted by a local resident, professional tour guide and a civil rights activist.

Loved this tour. It was a great way to get to know the history of the area. Seeing the neighborhood with the library & school gives me hope for the future.

Kathy, our guide for this tour, was very knowledgeable, very kind, and all around amazing. You can tell she's passionate about the neighbourhood and that really made the tour an incredible experience. The tour introduces its participants to the role Castro had in the LGBTQ movement. We visited historical locales that were significant to Harvey Milk's campaign, the AIDS crisis, and so on. Kathy was very considerate of everyone in the group and explained things in very accessible ways that make it easy to those who might not otherwise knew a lot about LGBTQ histories.

The walks are run by Kathy who owns the business. It is a 2 hour history of how the castro developed into its present community, the civil rights action, the Aids period etc It was super informative and in parts moving - we saw parts of the Aids Memorial Quilt, murals etc telling the story of the period. Kathy delivered the information with first hand passion and it was delight to be shown the area & have a sense of the diversity of the community. She was also super flexible when we changed dates which was kind. Highly recommended.
