This prestigious award recognizes Cruisin' the Castro as a longstanding, community-servicing business and a valuable cultural asset to the City & County of San Francisco.

Tours are fun, fascinating and offers twice as many tour stops that not only include the colorful sites of the largest LGBTQ community in the world, but explores the spectrum of sexual and gender diversity and the struggle with achieving equal rights in America.   No other tour offer this rare and educational opportunity!

Tours are conducted by a local resident, professional tour guide and a civil rights activist.

What an amazing and interesting tour. A great way to discover the history of The Castro. We have visited The Castro a few times, but never fully realised the history of the area. Kathys knowledge of the area is first class. Such a pleasure and honour to meet her. Thank you! We will definitely recommend this tour to our friends in the UK.

We really enjoyed our tour with Kathy. She was very knowledgable about the area and LGBTQ history and culture. She was engaging and chatty with the group. We would recommend the tour as an introduction to the Castro, its history, culture and residents.

The tour was an educational and a fun look into the culture of the Castro. The history was so important to learn and even though I had seen Milk and When We Rise, I still learned a lot about the culture. The information about the "hankies" was interesting and the entire tour was a joy. An easy tour (walking) and bring your camera. Kathy took time to talk to each group there, was very discreet as we had a young child in our group, and made the experience just a joy! I highly recommend this tour!
