A great trip! The tour guide “Big Scott” for the land part of the trip was very entertaining and knowledgeable. The bonus part if the trip I wasn’t expecting was a historic tour of parts of Savannah on the way across town to head to Tybee Island. Once at the boat, the tour was handed over to Captain Mike’s Dolphin tours, who were also very knowledgeable and entertaining. We had a bit of a rough sea and a lot of wind (dress warmer than you think you need to), but they promised us we’d find dolphins and we did! In fact, the boat part of the trip was extended because we were actively following a pod, and did not call an end to it because if the time! (We then were out there a little longer after that because they stopped to help rescue two men whose sailboat capsized - they jumped into action like it was nothing and helped the two men flip their boat back and get safely onboard their vessel - our whole boat cheered for them!). After getting back to shore, we boarded the bus again and went for lunch at The Crab Shack, where we had an hour and a half on our own to enjoy lunch, which also did not disappoint- brink your appetites! From there we headed to the lighthouse, where we had the option of climbing to the top of the lighthouse (178 steps up), walking on the beach, or just chilling with drinks at the pub. Our final stop was the souvenir shop before heading back to Savanna. It was the perfect way to see the beauty Tybee island has to offer! Worth the money!
