This is the oldest continuously lived on street in the US. One block long with homes from 1730.

Christ Church

The church where our Founding Fathers attended, and where George Washington's pew is available for the public.

Betsy Ross House

The colonial home of Betsy and her first husband, and their first floor shop. We talk about the creation of the first flag.

Welcome Park

This is a plaza on the site of the home where William Penn lived. he is the founder of Philadelphia, and we talk about who he was and how his philosophy of governing influenced our Founding Fathers.

Rocky Statue

For tours including driving, we stop at the statue and the steps made famous by the 1977 movie, Rocky.

Elfreth's Alley

North America's oldest continuously lived on street. Homes dating from 1730, Elfreth's Alley gives you a good idea of what living in Philadelphia was like in the 18th century. All homes are still privately owned and maintained. And be prepared to answer this question: would you like to live on Elfreth's Alley?

I booked Lois to give my parents a tour around the city while I was in class. According to my mom, "Lois was an informed, engaging and exhilarating tour guide! She accommodated our customized request for an authentic Philly cheesecake experience and tour of the Rocky stairs. She rattled off dates and historical facts like a history teacher. I think I learned more interesting facts on our three hour tour than I did in my many years of history classes!" Lois was communicative (reached out to me ahead of time to coordinate pick up/drop off), flexible, and warm. I'm very glad I booked her and encourage you to do so too!

We absolutely loved our tour with Lois! She was fun, very informative, and customized our tour to fit us! Lois took the time to get to know us and made our trip to Philly unforgettable! I am not a history buff and Lois really drew me into the stories and history of Philadelphia. Lots of great information and beautiful sites. We truly enjoyed our lunch with Lois midway through our tour and getting to know her. Our Philly Cheesesteak at Campos was AMAZING! Lois also took the time to recommend restaurants and other areas of interest for the remainder of our trip. I highly recommend Lois to anyone coming to the Philly area!

We booked a two hour tour with Lois. We ended up changing what we were doing due to wind and cold. Lois drove us to the sights we wanted to see on our own the next day. Was perfect for us.
