We are now equipped with a Tour System; my microphone and your headset to hear me. Our masks (if necessary) will not impede you hearing me crisply and clearly. Your comfort level is important for a fun tour, so we can discuss beforehand.

What To Expect

Liberty Bell Center

we will walk past the Liberty Bell and view it from the outside, OR if time permits, enter the pavilion, and see it up close and personal.

Independence Hall

We view this from the outside while I explain it's importance. For an inside tour, visit Recreation.gov

Elfreth's Alley

This is the oldest continuously lived on street in the US. One block long with homes from 1730.

Christ Church

The church where our Founding Fathers attended, and where George Washington's pew is available for the public.

Betsy Ross House

The colonial home of Betsy and her first husband, and their first floor shop. We talk about the creation of the first flag.

Welcome Park

This is a plaza on the site of the home where William Penn lived. he is the founder of Philadelphia, and we talk about who he was and how his philosophy of governing influenced our Founding Fathers.

Rocky Statue

For tours including driving, we stop at the statue and the steps made famous by the 1977 movie, Rocky.

Elfreth's Alley

North America's oldest continuously lived on street. Homes dating from 1730, Elfreth's Alley gives you a good idea of what living in Philadelphia was like in the 18th century. All homes are still privately owned and maintained. And be prepared to answer this question: would you like to live on Elfreth's Alley?

Quality tour led by a lifelong Philadelphian who gave us not only the historical tour but also shared modern Philly -making it a very living tour.

Good tour. We were able to see many historical sites in a short time. We ended the tour with a great spot for a Philly Cheesesteak! Lois was very accommodating and knowledgeable.
