Your guide will tell you about the marine life you encounter. Your boat is equipped with dolphin and whale information, fun facts and photos of recent sightings. The tours are two hours and are great for families, couples, private parties and corporate events. This is a wonderful service in Oceanside. The only whale watching tour I know of in San Diego county. We had been up to Newport several times before Oceanside Whale Watching opened. It was so nice to have something local. We saw 2 grey whales, dolphins, and sea lions. I follow their facebook page and they are always seeing amazing sea life. I am jealous of the times they saw hammer head sharks and orcas!

The tour before ours "did see whales". One half hour into the tour we watched as a humpback whale breached several times including one that fully cleared the water.

Beautiful boat! First mate was eager to share all his knowledge of whales and sea life and treated all the passengers with respect. The captain and first mate searched for whales during the two hour trip and we were rewarded with the sighting of a Minke whale and heard all about why it was an unusual sighting and the typical behavior of a Minke whale. The trip was only two hours which was a perfect amount of time. We also thought the size of the boat was perfect, it wasn't crowded and you could move around quite a bit. We would have enjoyed it even if we didn't see a whale!
