  • PASSPORTS REQUIRED, or Valid Passport Card, or other approved documents, please contact Canadian Customs for additional information on these documents
  • Please NOTE ALL 8 a.m. tours depart from your dock. Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of departure time. Don't forget your Passports! 1030 Discovery Tour - departs from Yukon Heath's Popcorn Emporium, located at 485 Broadway Avenue, Skagway, AK 99840 (see map below). Please plan to arrive at our office 30 minutes early.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Two different lunches are available, either Chicken or Vegetarian, your tour guide/professional driver will inquire of your choice before tour departs
  • US and Canadian Citizens: Must bring a government issued photo ID and proof of citizenship (US birth certificate or naturalization certificate) or a passport for re-entry to the United States. Children, ages 18 and under only require a birth certificate
  • Non-US Citizens: Either a Passport, I-94, Multiple Entry Visa or Resident Alien Card is required for re-entry to the United States
  • Operates in all weather conditions. Weather can vary greatly from one location to another, please dress in layers
  • Specific tour stops can be modified based on road conditions and weather.

Garrett was a lovely guide and the sights were great, but all the other buses on this tour, including several from this company, were newer, had large windows and air conditioning. Ours had small, permanently fogged windows, no AC, and as the last people on the bus, we were put into seats with no window at all. We were last because we had not asked to be picked up at the cruise dock, so by making it easier on the tour company, we actually got the poorest experience. I didn’t expect that. There seemed to be a lot of confusion as to who should be Putin what bus and the tour started 30 minutes late. There were at least 20 of us meeting at the office, and dedicating a bus to that group would have saved many headaches at 8 am. There was a group of 8 on our bus of 20 who were extremely selfish, making us run late all day. Our guide was way more patient than the rest of our group. We had a group name that he used to get us all back to the bus, this group often ignored the calls or would get back off the bus if we didn’t leave immediately when they returned, and Garrett had to herd them back on more than once. We were over an hour late back to town and were dropped directly at the port because we were close to our all aboard time. The sights were lovely but the lack of organization and the huge difference in experiences between buses mean I will not book with this company again, nor recommend them to my clients.

Raymond was a brilliant guide and driver and we had a great day. He made the pace flexible and we fitted in a lot of stops at interesting places. One star lost because the meeting instructions in Viator were incorrect - we were met near to our cruise ship and didn’t have to walk or taxi to the tour operator’s office - we only knew that because we contacted the operator direct to check.

The best part of this tour was our driver!!! He made stops to take amazing photos. We saw two different types of bears and he showed us how to spot mountain goats, which I captured a few on film. Keeping this a true review, we could have done without the dog sled park. I believe if you have small children, it is great for them. They will enjoy it. It’s not really for adults without children.
