From the moment we walk through the door, the staff were very helpful and advised us of all that there was to offer. The exhibits were what we expected and we were very happy with the he overall experience. Staff gave us information to further explore the area.
The heritage center surprised me. It is smaller then I expected but it was well laid out and worth the visit. My grandson who is 9 enjoyed the experience of sitting in the cellar and felling what it must have been like for the people that lived there. There are many three D photos that really built on helping to understand the war. I am glad we made this a part of our trip.
We came here late in the day and our hotel receptionist told us the museum closes at 6pm but actually it was open until 8pm so glad we called them to find out more. There is so much to take in and interesting items, statements from war survivors at the time and scenes and short films. At the end there was an informative movie in a theater that shows how the troops lined up and fought throughout the battle. This was helpful in understanding all of the information that we viewed on the bus tour. The building is somewhat small so take your time and read everything to get a good feel for what was experienced during the battle by the residents. A great deal!
