I am a dedicated NYC theater goer, usually at lease twice a week. In all my many years I never knew of, saw, of visited the Hudson Theater. What a tour I had.
It was the first theater to open on Broadway. Most of the original details are in place, in wonderful condition! It is understated and beautiful. There is even a Tiffany Room.
Our guide, Jon, loves this building and it shows. He is enthusiastic, overflowing with information about architecture, history, biography, gossip, about the theater, its original owners, performers, on and on.
One word - GO.
