Skip the Line: Tour of Historic Hudson Theatre Ticket

Overview
Explore Broadway's Oldest Theater!

Opened in 1903 (just before the Lyceum and New Amsterdam Theaters), the Hudson is the oldest theater currently open on Broadway...but it hasn’t always been a part of the Great White Way. From a television studio to the home of "The Tonight Show" to a renovated Broadway house, Hudson Theatre has a fascinating 115 year history. You’ll hear behind-the-scenes stories about Broadway star Ethel Barrymore and how the theater is connected to the RMS Titanic...yes,

that Titanic.

I got there 10 minutes early and waited a half hour for no one to show. I called the number that was emailed to me and they said wrong number and hung up. What a waste of money and time.

If you have any interest in theatre/architecture/history, I highly recommend this tour. The guide was engaging and knowledgeable and I learned a ton that I didn't know.

I am a dedicated NYC theater goer, usually at lease twice a week. In all my many years I never knew of, saw, of visited the Hudson Theater. What a tour I had. It was the first theater to open on Broadway. Most of the original details are in place, in wonderful condition! It is understated and beautiful. There is even a Tiffany Room. Our guide, Jon, loves this building and it shows. He is enthusiastic, overflowing with information about architecture, history, biography, gossip, about the theater, its original owners, performers, on and on. One word - GO.
