I’ve visited the ship while on a biz trip to Dan Diego in late August. Simply amazing and I’ve already been to several aircraft / ship museums in the world. It’s pretty worth every penny of the admission. Several planes can also be seen and the lower deck has plenty of attractions to spend your time as see you fit. Don’t forget to pay a visit to the store located on the lower deck, too, which has several interesting items, though a little pricey.

The self-guided tour with audio devices was very well organized and the docents throughout the ship were great with stories and information that brought the experience to life. But the highlights were the docent pilots who gave the launching and landing presentations. They were incredible--with humor and heart--and knowing that they actually flew these planes was awesome. I'm grateful that I'm at a time in my life where my politics don't get in the way of learning about our military history. I was also reminded that it's time that our country take better care of our veterans and active duty personnel including their families, who also sacrifice.

We spent 4 hours on the Midway. Enjoyed taking out time walking all over the ship. Ben and San Diego, quite a few times Have walked by the ship but have never until this time actually gone on. I would definitely suggest doing this, especially if you have some extra time. Bring your walking shoes. This ship is huge and there are very many decks to explore.
