Highly educational displays and plenty of photo opportunities. This is a well-structured museum and definitely worth visiting on any trip to San Diego. Probably the only downside is the small and extremely crowded gift shop, which lacks sufficient room to browse and insufficient check-out staff. Getting tickets ahead of time to avoid the early morning lines was a smart move on our part!

Absolutely excellent and easily worth double the ticket price. Be aware if you purchase tickets in advance to skip the queue (which you should) they cannot read the ticket from your phone, our hotel kindly printed ours for us. Allow 2-3 hours minimum it’s worth taking the time to see the short documentary about the battle of Midway (even if you know the story). Also make sure you take the tour up to the bridge it’s all explained really well. We particularly appreciated the guides who are always available (yellow baseball caps) they are mostly veterans - many who served on Midway. Didn’t really know what to expect but totally blown away.
