I'd have to admit, at the beginning, I thought its going to be a long bike ride along the beach. However, I was wrong. Its electric bike, so it look like a bicycle but it feels like riding a moped. When I first tried their riding, its a little heavier than I would thought, but after a little practice, I start getting used to it.
I think 2 things made me had a rough start, first of all, I am short (5'1), and even when they lower the seats I still have a hard time reaching the ground when I was on the bike. Second, I am not very strong and the bike is a little heavy compare to my bike at home.
These don't really bothered me, because once I learn how to use the power properly, I can ride it well like everyone.
Our guide, Barb, who also owns' the business was very nice. While we were on the tour, she talked about the local history, and tour around the beach. We had a lots of photo opportunities on the way which I enjoyed a lot.
We went on the afternoon tour, which started at 2. The weather was nice, however, with 15 mph speed riding along the beach, it getting a little cold when the sun start going down. So, definitely bring a light jacket for that. The bike tour itself won't make you sweat, unless you choose to ride the whole time.
I will recommend this tour for people who want to visit Santa Monica but don't have couple days to spend there. This tour will help you sample Santa Monica and Venice area in a nice and fun way.
