Join Coastal Kayak Charters for a small group guided kayak tour of the Shell Key Preserve. We are St Pete's top rated kayak tour company and focus exclusively on small groups and private tours. Our trips offer more personalized service and better wildlife viewing opportunities while out on the water. We will explore hidden mangrove tunnels (tides permitting), shallow seagrass meadows, and stop on Shell Island for time to swim, look for shells, or just relax and enjoy the beach. Our tours are designed for beginners and experienced kayakers alike. We use stable user friendly kayaks that provide a great paddling experience. We primarily use double kayaks unless you have an odd number in your group. If you prefer single kayaks they are available through our website. Come explore with local professionals who love what they do and see the difference for yourself.

Excellent tour. Olivia was a terrific guide, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area and the all the wildlife we came across.

This was such a fun adventure for my son and I. We had a small group of 5 and we had 4 guides. The guides were very informative and created a fun atmosphere for our little journey. The tour was 3 hours - but it didn't seem too long and we took breaks periodically and we had a nice long break on one of the sandy beaches looking at shells etc. It was a lot of fun. I would recommend that you not plan too much for the rest of the day when you book as it is tiring afterwards - atleast it was for me. Make sure you do have a washroom break before and pack a snack and bring water with you. Yes, you definitely get wet.

Fantastic kayak trip led by Steve and Dan of Coastal Kayak. Going through the mangrove tunnels was so cool. Lots of interesting facts along the way. Highly recommend doing this.
