Had an amazing time swimming with the manatees! Our Captains John and Mike did an awesome job. John guided us through the water and got us close to the manatees for a once in a lifetime experience. Both guys were knowledgeable about the manatee and the area. The animals did their thing, chomping on the grass. It was an experience that we will not forget. John even took great pictures that was saved to a smart stick and made available for purchase. I would highly recommend the manatee tour with John and Mike. Oh and they even took us over to Three sisters springs where John planted grass for the manatees. It was truly an amazing experience!

This was something I had been looking forward to for a couple years and I was not disappointed. It was so much fun getting up close to the manatees without invading their space too much!!!! Captain Steve and Captain Dustin were both sweet as pie and so very helpful. Captain Steve was right there with a towel and hot chocolate or coffee cause yes even in June that water is cold!!! Captain Dustin was very patient with everyone in the group and did a wonderful job of getting us all time with the manatees. Thank you to Plantation Adventures for showing up and showing out with the 5mm wet suits!!! They helped keep us all floating with ease and kept us from getting too cold!!! I would recommend Plantation just on this one thing but it's all the little things that have me planning my next trip for the winter!!!!

Captains Dusty and Misty were great hosts. They took us around the bay to swim with manatees and then to an open water spring in the bay. We really hoped to see the three sisters spring, which is open in the late spring four visits from the water. But after some delays finding manatees and slight mechanical issues, we instead visited a closer spring feeding the bay. This was actually an unexpected treat as we got to see some manatees mating on the way. The spring afforded some nice skin diving opportunities where we saw Sheepshead and some smaller fish in beautifully clear water. But the clear highlight was swimming with a mamma and baby manatee. Dustin was very good at getting manatee pictures with everyone. There's no way I could have done this on my own. They also had good communication with other tour operators so that we were assured a chance to swim with these amazing creatures. It was a bit challenging for our six and nine year old boys learning to Snorkel for the first time. But the boys adapted well to techniques required to passively observe the animals. I gather that this time of year is almost ideal for the manatee tour. Wetsuits being included was a plus. Despite the hot weather it made the swimming easier and more comfortable. Having the manatees spread out in the bay (not wintering) allows us to see them more actively swimming. So, my concerns that this was the wrong season were unfounded. A hot day in May is a great time to do this. The water was refreshing and the boat covered.
