What a fabulous day with Gary and our fellow travelers! Gary was sure to plan an educational and fun experience for us all. We had so much fun that our group ended up having dinner together. Made new friends and learned a lot today. Gary’s knowledge is incredible and we highly recommend him as your guide!

Go, Tracy N.! Thanks so much for posting. I have no idea how often this actually happens, but I'm pretty sure it's a regular occurrence that groups of our guests end up all having dinner together after their tour with us. I love this dynamic! Many years ago, I took a city tour in Brugges, Belgium while traveling alone through Europe. We all ended up hanging out together that evening, and I suddenly had a group of friends after not having laid eyes on anyone I knew for weeks. It was magical for me, and we certainly encourage it for our guests. I'm glad you loved Gary; he is indeed a gem!

We cannot speak highly enough of our tour of Napa with Platypus! From the moment we were picked up at our hotel, we knew we were in for a great day. Linda was a tremendous host - great vibes, driving, recommendations and made everyone on the bus comfortable from the start. We visited 3 family-owned wineries and had great curated (pre-negotiated) tours & tastings at each. All 3 waived the tasting fee with a purchase of a bottle. Special highlight was at AuburnJames - one of the best behind-the-scenes tours we've had at a winery. Our group had so much fun together, all 12 of us ended the day together with (extra) drinks. Our only regret was not booking the tour earlier in our stay for all the amazing local tips & recos we received from Linda throughout the day!

What an awesome review; Thanks for posting, Atrayah! I certainly agree that Linda is rock-star as a tour guide, and I love your description of the vibe the cultivates. We do in fact work with the wineries to get discounted tasting fees and enhanced behind-the-scenes experiences for our guests. I'm so glad those efforts made such a positive impression on you.
