Three of us joined a group that went to Rainbow River for scuba diving & snorkeling. The American Pro Dive Company rented us quality equipment in a speedy fashion so that we could get out on the river. Their boat captain told us many interesting facts about the Rainbow River and showed us how to find the highlights under the water. The drift dive was peaceful and picturesque. Rainbow River is pristine with many amazing geological features. Though it is not deep (24' at the deepest) we are still glad that we chose scuba diving over snorkeling. There are bubbling springs that you can reach into to look for fossils and a small cavern that two people can fit in at the end. We saw turtles, diving birds feeding underwater, spotted gar, bass, and many other fish. It was so interesting to see how the fish hide in the vegetation. It was well worth the money!
