If you are new to or have never snorkeled before this is the ideal choice! Particularly good for families with younger children or swimmers who aren’t certain if they are “seaworthy” enough for one of our longer trips.

This trip is much slower-paced and affords guests time to become more familiar and comfortable with the exciting and beautiful sport of snorkeling. Our crew will be happy to help you adjust your mask, fins, and snorkel and help you become comfortable viewing the tropical fish while using a flotation assistance device we call a “noodle”. You'll even watch for dolphins and whales along the way!

We offer several different times slots to fit your schedule. The times shown indicate the check in time. Tour duration includes time to checkin and receive gear. Snorkel participants must be confortable swimming.

Our vessels are RHIBS (zodiac style boats; seating is on a pontoon).
Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times
We have full discretion to refuse service to guests based on attire, behavior, physical fitness & condition
Restroom facilities not available on boat
Not recommended for travelers with neck problems

We did the Afternoon Snorkel with Cpt John and his crew Janie. They made everything possible for us to enjoy the tour and the snorkel. Booking was easy and the phone operators are also very friendly and helpful. The reef at Captain Cook's is fantastic. It is worth visiting. The only negative was that other companies, which are often cheaper, have their own reception building in the harbour, so it is more convenient to use that instead of gathering next to the public toilet.

Aloha Akos! Mahalo for your review of our Captain Cook’s Afternoon Snorkel Adventure, we’re glad to hear you had a great time! As for the other brick and mortar tour companies, while they may be at a cheaper price point and have a restroom in their office, they also hold over 50 people on board. We hold 12 max. It was the best first snorkeling tour. Tour guide Erica was knowledgeable and kind and kept a close eye on us the whole time . We had a small group of 5 on a fun small boat. I couldn’t have asked for a better trip.

3 of my children ages 18, 16 and 10 went on the afternoon snorkel to captain cook's monument. Captain Keith was great and my kids and I had a great time. We even swam with some Spinner dolphins who showed up in the Bay. It was the highlight of our trip!
